Senior Autonomy Engineer (AI)

Salary: $79,300–$126,900 per year

What you will do

• Develop and integrate software architecture, real-time control algorithms, artificial intelligence, motion planning, computer vision, and sensor processing for active safety, advanced driver assistance systems, and unmanned ground vehicles.
• Write embedded C and C++ software to configure and control hardware and provide APIs for application code.
• Use MATLAB, Simulink, TargetLink, MagicDraw, and other model-based and system-architecture tools.
• Prepare requirements, design documentation, engineering calculations, feasibility studies, technical proposals, and performance reports.
• Support hardware selection, supplier coordination, testing, cost and reliability analysis, and risk control.
• Mentor entry-level engineers, designers, and technicians and collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers, including travel to off-site test locations when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• At least three years of related experience.
• Experience with embedded C and/or C++ software development.
• Ability to work with software architecture, real-time control, autonomous systems, active safety, or related embedded-system technologies.
• Regular attendance and routine shift availability are required; occasional overtime, weekend work, or shift rotation may occur.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Familiarity with C#, PLCs, Python, and SQL databases.
• Experience providing technical guidance or acting as a lead worker.
