Product Designer (Social)

Location: Hybrid role based in Bellevue, WA; Menlo Park, CA; or New York, NY, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

Base pay: $140,000–$165,000 USD annually for Zone 1 locations. Additional compensation may include bonuses, equity, and benefits; other compensation zones range from $110,000 to $145,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design end-to-end social and community features for a consumer mobile app, from exploration through launch.
• Partner with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and researchers to define problems and ship high-quality products.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate concepts and guide design decisions.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs across the product development process.
• Contribute to and evolve the design system across the mobile app.
• Collaborate with marketing, brand, and content teams, present work to stakeholders, and incorporate feedback.

Requirements

• 3+ years of product design experience and a strong portfolio of shipped consumer mobile products for iOS and/or Android.
• Experience designing social, community, or content-driven mobile features.
• Strong proficiency in Figma and experience working with and contributing to design systems.
• Strong interaction design, visual craft, user-centered process, and high-quality visual execution.
• Experience collaborating with engineering, product, and research teams throughout the full product development cycle.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work through ambiguity in fast-moving environments.
