Facility Maintenance Technician I (Commercial Kitchen Facilities)

Location: San Francisco, CA; field-based across the Greater Bay Area with local travel between multiple sites

Salary: $22.00–$26.25 per hour plus overtime, full benefits, mileage and toll reimbursement

What you will do

• Perform general repairs including drywall patching, painting, tiling, basic masonry, shelving and equipment installation, floor repairs, roofing, gutter and landscaping maintenance.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing and electrical building systems.
• Inspect facilities, identify issues early and troubleshoot day-to-day operational problems.
• Travel between multiple commercial kitchen sites across the Greater Bay Area, returning home daily.
• Partner with internal teams to keep kitchen facilities fully operational.
• Work approximately 60% on hands-on repairs, 25% on preventative maintenance and 15% on inspections and support.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of handyman, maintenance or facilities experience.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based role.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work onsite across the Greater Bay Area and travel locally between facilities.

Nice to have

• At least 3 years of commercial facilities maintenance experience.
• Experience in restaurants, hospitality or multi-site environments.
• HVAC/R experience or a trade school background.
