Industrial Maintenance Technician

Location: Winchester DC, United States; on-site, second shift Monday–Friday from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Pay range: $21.50–$34.40 per hour

Retail company operating a distribution center and supporting facility operations, equipment maintenance, and merchandise handling.

What you will do

• Inspect and repair conveyor systems, machinery, power equipment, and material-handling equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on air compressors, generators, compactors, bailers, HVAC units, lighting, and fire protection equipment.
• Complete minor electrical and plumbing repairs, painting, furniture moves, and facility upkeep.
• Respond promptly to equipment jams, malfunctions, and other maintenance-related issues.
• Administer parts and assist outside contractors with maintenance activities.
• Sort, stack, and load recyclable pallets, cardboard, aluminum, steel, and light bulbs.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment.
• Knowledge of MSDS standards and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Ability to climb ladders, operate power equipment, and provide basic personal tools.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and use cleaning solutions, oil, and equipment according to MSDS procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently, stand and walk for at least nine hours, and perform frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and climbing.
• Basic math, reading, computer, handheld scanner, and communication device skills.
