Electrical Systems Analysis (CAE) Engineer (12V/48V)

What you will do

• Develop one-dimensional models for 12V/48V electrical components, subsystems, batteries, distribution systems, and full vehicle architectures.
• Build physics-based electrical and thermal models for co-simulation, software-in-the-loop, virtual controls, and calibration initiatives.
• Perform charge-balance, fail-operational, bus-integrity, short-circuit, and component-sizing analyses.
• Interpret, present, and peer-review simulation results for product teams and critical vehicle program gates.
• Collaborate with electrical architects, SiL teams, validation, calibration, design release, CAE, and supplier teams.
• Lead root-cause analysis and capability projects that close gaps between analytical results and physical tests.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Controls Engineering.
• At least 5 years of engineering experience in the design, analysis, or testing of 12V/48V electrical systems or components.
• Proficiency with Synopsys Saber, MAST modeling language, MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape.
• Experience developing Software-in-the-Loop models, Functional Mockup Units, and co-simulation systems.
• Knowledge of circuit analysis, electronics, electromagnetics, electric drives, control systems, digital signal processing, and analytical modeling of vehicle systems.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics.
• Experience with CAE/CAD tools and lithium-ion battery cell modeling.
• DFSS Black Belt certification or higher.
• Experience designing GUIs and core software for technical applications with schematic interfaces.
