Senior Specimen Management Associate (Clinical Research)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States of America; onsite role

Salary: $42,700–$89,000 annualized base pay

What you will do

• Accession, identify, sort, label, store, and ship clinical specimens while maintaining full traceability and accountability.
• Investigate routine accessioning issues, identify errors, and escalate complex matters.
• Notify customers of specimen receipt and respond to routine inquiries.
• Maintain freezers, specimen inventories, equipment, and related records, including supply monitoring.
• Guide entry-level employees, support onboarding, and represent Specimen Management on assigned projects.
• Support after-hours alarms and follow safety, quality, regulatory, and 6S requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a natural science field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Bachelor of Science in a life science and laboratory experience are preferred.
• Knowledge of laboratory systems, specimen accessioning, freezer maintenance, and inventory management.
• Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice regulations is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, problem-solving, and escalation skills.
