Focus on translating field insights into medical strategy, supporting clinical research and evidence generation, and guiding complex scientific exchanges across hematologic malignancies.

Location: Dallas, TX, United States; field-based role with up to 70% travel and extensive travel requirements.

Salary: $240,000–$275,000 annually base pay, plus potential incentives, bonuses, and benefits.

What you will do

  • Lead field medical strategy for a late-stage Acute Myeloid Leukemia program and align execution with clinical development and launch readiness priorities.
  • Recruit, manage, coach, and develop a high-performing Medical Science Liaison team while maintaining a reduced MSL territory.
  • Build scientific relationships with investigators, key opinion leaders, academic institutions, cooperative groups, and community hematology/oncology stakeholders.
  • Collect and synthesize field insights on treatment patterns, unmet needs, evidence gaps, biomarkers, and evolving standards of care.
  • Support clinical trial awareness, investigator-initiated studies, evidence generation, advisory boards, congresses, and scientific exchange programs.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Commercial, Market Access, Compliance, Training, and Operations teams.

Requirements

  • Advanced scientific or clinical degree required, such as MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, DNP, or equivalent.
  • At least 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or Medical Affairs organizations.
  • At least 2 years leading, coaching, or managing field medical teams and at least 5 years of hematology and/or oncology experience.
  • Deep knowledge of AML, MDS, hematologic malignancies, measurable residual disease, transplantation, cancer immunotherapy, and cellular therapies.
  • Experience with clinical trials, investigator-initiated research, treatment guidelines, FDA regulations, and OIG guidelines.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness and ability to travel up to 70% required.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting AML, MDS, bone marrow transplant, cellular therapy, cancer immunotherapy, or related hematologic malignancies.
  • Hematology/oncology launch or pre-commercial Medical Affairs experience.
  • Experience supporting late-stage clinical development programs or emerging biotechnology companies.
  • Established relationships with academic institutions, cooperative groups, investigators, and hematology/oncology centers.
