Medical Science Liaison West Region (Hematology/Oncology)

Location: Los Angeles, CA, United States; field-based position covering the assigned West Region territory with travel up to 70%.

Salary: $170,000–$210,000 annually, plus potential incentive plans and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and maintain scientific relationships with hematology/oncology key opinion leaders, investigators, healthcare professionals, and priority institutions.
• Conduct compliant peer-to-peer scientific exchange on AML, hematologic malignancies, immunotherapy, biomarkers, measurable residual disease, relapse risk, and evolving standards of care.
• Support clinical development programs, investigator-initiated studies, trial awareness, site engagement, and research opportunity identification.
• Capture and synthesize field insights on unmet needs, treatment barriers, evidence gaps, clinical practice, competitive developments, and stakeholder perceptions.
• Partner with Medical Affairs and cross-functional colleagues to execute the field medical plan and inform strategic planning.
• Document scientific interactions and insights in CRM or insight management systems while maintaining scientific integrity and compliance.

Requirements

• Advanced clinical or scientific degree required; PharmD, MD, DO, PhD, DNP, NP, PA, or equivalent preferred.
• At least 4 years of MSL or relevant clinical experience in hematology and/or oncology, including at least 3 years of hematology/oncology experience.
• Expertise in healthcare stakeholder segments, oncology treatment landscapes, clinical research processes, FDA regulations, and OIG guidelines.
• Ability to communicate complex scientific and clinical information to healthcare professionals, researchers, key opinion leaders, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and digital engagement tools.
• Valid driver's license and willingness and ability to travel extensively, including up to 70% of the time.

Nice to have

• Experience with AML, MDS, bone marrow transplant, cellular therapy, cancer immunotherapy, or related hematologic malignancies.
• Oncology or rare disease product launch experience.
• Established relationships with academic and community hematology/oncology centers, clinical trial consortia, or cooperative groups.
