Medical Science Liaison North East Region (Hematology/Oncology)

Location: New York, NY, United States; extensive travel up to 70% within the assigned territory

Salary: $170,000–$210,000 annually, plus potential incentives, bonuses, and benefits

What you will do

• Build and maintain scientific relationships with key opinion leaders, academic investigators, community hematology/oncology leaders, clinical trial sites, and research institutions.
• Conduct compliant peer-to-peer scientific discussions covering AML, hematologic malignancies, immunotherapy, mechanisms of action, clinical trial data, biomarkers, measurable residual disease, relapse risk, and standards of care.
• Support disease-state education, advisory boards, investigator meetings, clinical trial awareness, site engagement, and investigator-initiated study development.
• Capture and synthesize field insights on unmet needs, treatment barriers, evidence gaps, clinical practice, patient identification, sequencing, and adoption considerations.
• Monitor competitive developments, emerging clinical data, trial activity, guideline changes, congress intelligence, and investigator interests.
• Document scientific interactions in CRM systems and partner with Medical Affairs and cross-functional colleagues to execute the field medical plan.

Requirements

• Advanced clinical or scientific degree required; PharmD, MD, DO, PhD, DNP, NP, PA, or equivalent preferred.
• At least 4 years of Medical Science Liaison or relevant clinical development experience, including experience in hematology and/or oncology.
• At least 3 years of hematology/oncology experience with demonstrated therapeutic-area expertise.
• Knowledge of oncology treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA regulations, OIG guidelines, and investigator-initiated research.
• Ability to communicate complex scientific and clinical information to healthcare professionals, researchers, key opinion leaders, and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to travel extensively, and willingness to travel up to 70% of the time; compliance with client site-access, vaccination, or health-screening requirements may be required.

Nice to have

• Experience with AML, MDS, bone marrow transplant, cellular therapy, cancer immunotherapy, or related hematologic malignancies.
• Prior oncology or rare-disease product launch experience.
• Established relationships with academic and community hematology/oncology centers, NCI Cooperative groups, clinical trial consortia, or oncology pharmacy leaders.
