Medical Science Liaison Southeast Region (Hematology/Oncology)

Location: Raleigh, NC; field-based role covering the assigned Southeast territory with travel up to 70%

Salary: $170,000–$210,000 annually, plus potential incentive plans, bonuses, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and maintain scientific relationships with hematology/oncology key opinion leaders, investigators, healthcare professionals, academic institutions, and community practices.
• Conduct compliant peer-to-peer scientific discussions on AML, hematologic malignancies, immunotherapy, biomarkers, measurable residual disease, relapse risk, and evolving standards of care.
• Capture field insights on unmet needs, treatment patterns, evidence gaps, clinical barriers, competitive developments, and stakeholder perceptions.
• Support clinical development by engaging investigators, research centers, cooperative groups, and institutions involved in AML and related hematologic malignancies.
• Provide technical support for investigator-initiated studies and identify research opportunities aligned with company objectives.
• Partner with Medical Affairs and cross-functional teams, document scientific interactions in CRM systems, and maintain scientific integrity and compliance.

Requirements

• Advanced clinical or scientific degree required; PharmD, MD, DO, PhD, DNP, NP, PA, or equivalent preferred.
• At least 4 years of MSL or relevant clinical development experience in hematology and/or oncology, including at least 3 years of hematology/oncology experience.
• Strong knowledge of oncology treatment landscapes, healthcare stakeholders, clinical research processes, FDA regulations, and OIG guidelines.
• Ability to communicate complex scientific and clinical information to healthcare professionals, researchers, key opinion leaders, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency with CRM platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and other digital engagement tools.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to travel extensively, and willingness to travel up to 70% of the time; client-specific vaccination or health screening requirements may apply.

Nice to have

• Experience with AML, MDS, bone marrow transplant, cellular therapy, cancer immunotherapy, or related hematologic malignancies.
• Oncology or rare disease product launch experience.
• Established relationships with academic and community hematology/oncology centers.
