What you will do

• Develop and execute commodity strategies across boiler maintenance, chemicals, MRO, environmental services, and capital projects.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiations, and contract strategy to drive savings, cost avoidance, and risk reduction.
• Design and implement standardized procurement processes, policies, and governance routines enterprise-wide.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships and drive accountability for safety, quality, compliance, and performance.
• Partner with Operations, Finance, and Legal to embed procurement standards into daily routines and reporting systems.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of commodity managers and sourcing professionals.

Requirements

• 20+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
• 10+ years of leadership experience in commodity or category management.
• 10+ years of people management experience, including leading other managers.
• Expertise in sourcing for boilers, maintenance services, MRO, chemicals, or waste disposal.
• Proven track record of delivering commercial productivity and total cost-out.
• Strong executive communication skills and the ability to influence senior leadership.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or Finance; MBA preferred.
• Experience in utilities, power generation, oil and gas, or other heavy industrial sectors.
• Experience with ERP-enabled workflows and procurement technology implementation.
