Safety Manager - Heavy Civil Construction

Location: Charlotte, NC, United States; work is performed on construction project sites and in office settings.

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific safety plans.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to verify compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions for project personnel.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents and prepare corrective action plans.
• Work with project managers and superintendents to integrate safety throughout construction activities.
• Maintain safety records and serve as the primary contact for project safety matters.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of safety experience in heavy civil construction.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and applicable safety standards.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor construction environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish ability is preferred.

Nice to have

• CSP, CHST, or OSHA 30 certification.
