Purchasing Specialist

What you will do

• Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate stock of parts, materials, and supplies.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality products.
• Prepare, review, and manage purchase orders, invoices, receipts, and requisitions.
• Forecast seasonal demand for harvest and irrigation operations, including bidding and ordering.
• Review slow-moving inventory, update minimum and maximum levels, and identify optimal sourcing options.
• Respond to purchasing and accounts payable inquiries and provide backup support during month-end closing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 0–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations.
• Strong negotiation, communication, organization, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; proficiency in EBS, Fleet Asset Works, Tableau Reporting, and SharePoint is expected.
• Ability to understand chemical specifications, SDS documentation, and compliance requirements.
• Forklift certification is preferred; bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is preferred.
