Location: Waltham, Massachusetts, United States; onsite Monday through Thursday

Salary: $60,000–$70,000 per year

What you will do

  • Plan, schedule, and place purchase orders based on production schedules, material requirements, and established ordering policies.
  • Monitor supplier delivery performance and resolve shipping delays, receiving issues, material returns, and invoice discrepancies.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and service expectations with current and prospective suppliers.
  • Maintain MRP planning parameters, including item master data, lead times, order policies, and ABC classifications.
  • Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing, Distribution, Quality, Finance, and other internal teams to ensure material availability.
  • Support purchasing reports, supplier records, quotations, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 0 to 3+ years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or related professional experience.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with purchase orders, supplier management, inventory planning, and material availability.
  • Familiarity with Master Production Scheduling, Material Requirements Planning, and planning parameters.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and computer application skills, with attention to accurate records and detail.
