What you will do

• Issue and manage purchase orders for materials and services based on MRP/ERP requirements and production schedules.
• Monitor open orders, expedite deliveries, and communicate procurement status to internal stakeholders.
• Evaluate supplier quotes and negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms.
• Maintain purchasing data in SAP and manage MRP exception messages, including reschedules, expedites, and cancellations.
• Partner with Supplier Quality, Engineering, Production, and Accounts Payable to resolve supply, quality, delivery, and invoice issues.
• Track procurement metrics, support new product introduction, assess supply chain risks, and contribute to Lean and 5S improvement projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least 2 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Experience managing purchase orders, supplier relationships, and inventory replenishment in a high-mix production environment.
• Intermediate to advanced ERP knowledge, with SAP strongly preferred, plus intermediate Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Working knowledge of MRP, demand planning, inventory management, Incoterms, contract terms, shipping, and logistics.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 purchasing controls, supplier qualification, analytical procurement decisions, and supply risk planning.

Nice to have

• Experience with new product launches and collaboration with Engineering or R&D teams.
• Background in precision instruments, laboratory equipment, medical devices, or regulated manufacturing.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen.
