Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Onsite in Rock Island, Tennessee, then Cookeville, Tennessee; intermittent travel up to 10%

What you will do

• Lead or support lean manufacturing, 5S, Facilities Excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Run and program automated and robotic equipment, maintaining the programs and files required for operation.
• Improve equipment utilization, workflow, productivity, and process reliability.
• Partner with Quality on root cause analysis, defect countermeasures, and production documentation.
• Troubleshoot equipment, support repairs, create preventive maintenance schedules, and identify critical spare parts.
• Prepare manufacturing reports, support capital project proposals, evaluate new technologies, and address safety concerns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• At least 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• In-depth knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or comparable solid modeling software.
• Experience with process improvement, metric development, problem-solving, and technical communication.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must already be authorized to work full-time in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored immigration support.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with machinery, mechanical equipment, construction materials, and construction methods.
• Knowledge of steel fabrication processes such as welding, CNC milling, and facing.
• Strong mathematical ability and familiarity with basic engineering principles.
