Event Technology Technician (Event Technology)

Location: Onsite at the venue in Verona, New York, USA; work includes irregular hours, on-call shifts, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional outdoor events.

Salary: $18.00–$22.50 per hour; part-time.

Oneida Innovations Group provides event technology and audiovisual support for meetings, conferences, training sessions, social events, and expo halls.

What you will do

• Set up, operate, maintain, and break down audiovisual equipment for scheduled events.
• Monitor events, respond to service requests, and provide timely guest support.
• Troubleshoot sound, projection, lighting, video, presentation, recording, and streaming systems.
• Coordinate with sales, hotel staff, clients, and other teams to deliver seamless events.
• Maintain audiovisual equipment inventory and report equipment that is out of service or unsuitable for client use.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and provide solutions to prevent meeting downtime.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience with audiovisual technology.
• Strong technical knowledge of sound systems, projectors, lighting, video equipment, event technology software, and applications.
• Understanding of signal flow, industry terminology, hotel systems, and integration of venue audio and video systems.
• Ability to read and follow AV system flow diagrams and support documentation.
• Strong communication, organization, multitasking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite with irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.

Nice to have

• Technical AV certification such as CTS.
