Director of Event Technology (SNE) - Cliff House Maine (Audio-Visual Events)

Location: Cape Neddick, Maine, United States; onsite hotel/convention center environment

Salary: $43,304–$56,296 per year

What you will do

• Manage revenue, profitability, labor, equipment sub-rentals, invoicing, forecasts, and the location P&L.
• Build and maintain relationships with venue partners and customers while supporting retention and contract renewals.
• Direct daily event operations, including scheduling, equipment setup, operation, strikes, inventory control, and safety procedures.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot audio-visual equipment and software issues, including acting as the onsite technician when needed.
• Develop event sales strategies, prepare quotes and proposals, and identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
• Lead, coach, train, and develop team members while maintaining staffing levels and service standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of audio-visual experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
• At least 2 years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of audio-visual equipment in a live show environment and ability to complete Level 3 Skills training.
• Proficiency with computer hardware, software, Internet tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Effective leadership and customer satisfaction skills; a valid driver’s license is required for team members operating company vehicles.

• Experience with financial reporting, forecasting, or venue business reviews.
