Corporate Controller (MedTech)

Location: Remote within the United States; preferred hubs are Boston or New York City

What you will do

• Oversee accounting, payroll, month-end close, invoicing, and accounts payable activities.
• Manage revenue recognition operations and serve as the internal subject-matter expert.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and compliance with GAAP and audit requirements.
• Prepare and support internal and external financial statements, KPI reporting, forecasts, variance analysis, and root-cause insights.
• Review payroll tax returns and ensure accurate calculation, remittance, and recording of federal, state, and local payroll taxes.
• Streamline accounting systems and processes, review expenses, and support headcount planning and financial infrastructure growth.

Requirements

• CPA certification.
• At least 3 years of public accounting experience and 7 or more years of finance experience, ideally in a startup environment.
• Degree in finance, statistics, economics, business, or a related field.
• Experience building scalable financial infrastructure while maintaining strong financial controls.
• Outstanding Excel skills, including the ability to manipulate large datasets, and experience with QuickBooks.
• Ability to explain complex financial concepts and use ROI-driven analysis to support business decisions.
