Part Time Release of Information Specialist I (Healthcare)

Location: Lititz, Pennsylvania, USA; the role may be based at a client site.

Salary: $20–$21 per hour

What you will do

• Process medical release of information requests accurately and efficiently.
• Enter and manage request data using hirify.global software applications.
• Organize records and documents and interpret medical records, forms, and authorizations.
• Support the resolution of HIPAA-related release issues and maintain confidentiality.
• Provide customer service in person, by phone, and by email according to location requirements.
• Attend required training and perform related operational duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• At least 2 years of medical records experience.
• At least 2 years of clerical or office work experience.
• Experience with desktop computers, scanners, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and state regulations related to releasing protected health information is preferred.

Nice to have

• RHIT certification.
• Experience in a healthcare setting.
