Patient Access Specialist (Healthcare Revenue Cycle)

Location: Onsite at Methodist - Germantown in Germantown, Tennessee; candidates must work on-site and reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $17.00–$18.15 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Perform admitting and pre-registration duties for hospital patients.
• Assign medical record numbers, collect demographic and insurance information, process physician orders, and complete medical necessity and compliance checks.
• Verify insurance eligibility, select insurance plan codes, enter benefit data, and support point-of-service collections and clean claims.
• Explain consent, Medicare, TRICARE, observation, and other patient forms; obtain signatures and distribute required education materials.
• Conduct inbound and outbound calls, operate the telephone switchboard, provide patient instructions, and deliver compassionate customer service.
• Audit accounts, correct documentation issues, and provide statistical reporting to Patient Access leadership.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Must be able to work onsite in Germantown, Tennessee.
• Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.
• CRCR certification required within 6 months of hire; certification is company-paid.
