Sr Security Specialist

Location: Memphis, Tennessee, United States; onsite role

Salary: $20.50–$34.50 per hour

What you will do

• Operate the security control room, master operator console, paging system, communication systems, and surveillance cameras.
• Provide institution-wide customer service, issue personnel badges and hangtags, and respond to service requests.
• Coordinate emergency communications for fires, severe weather, 911 calls, and other incidents.
• Dispatch appropriate personnel and support Security Management with preliminary and follow-up investigations.
• Maintain daily reports, records, and written incident reports for offenses, disruptions, and other activities.
• Maintain regular attendance, follow institutional policies, and meet departmental performance expectations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of customer service experience or 1 year of security-related experience in a security program, police organization, military branch, or conflict counseling.
• Experience with data entry, computer systems, Microsoft Word and Excel, and maintaining records.
• Ability to identify threats, investigate and resolve security incidents, and respond calmly and quickly during emergencies.
• Knowledge of security rules, institutional policies, applicable federal and state laws, and safety hazards.
• Must pass criminal background, drug, physical/health, and driving-record checks and meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
