Location: Onsite in Hanford, California, United States; Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm. Ability to commute between locations as needed.

What you will do
- Receive and process patient health information and medical record requests in accordance with company, facility, and privacy policies.
- Safeguard confidential patient information and ensure releases comply with HIPAA and authorization requirements.
- Prepare, organize, scan, and maintain accurate paper and electronic medical records.
- Respond to internal and external record requests, calls, patient walk-ins, faxes, mail, data entry, and pickup scheduling.
- Monitor site issues and fluctuating workloads, meet productivity standards, and generate reports for managers or facilities.
- Support operational initiatives and train HIS I associates and new hires.
Requirements
- At least one year of health information-related or medical office experience.
- High school diploma or GED; must be at least 18 years old.
- Strong customer service, clerical, data entry, organization, and written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel, with experience using phones, fax machines, printers, and other office equipment.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and manage changing priorities.
- Must work onsite in Hanford, California, commute between locations when needed, and work overtime during peak periods when required.
Nice to have
- Production or metric-based work experience.
- In-person customer service experience and the ability to build relationships with onsite clients and customers.
- Experience suggesting process improvements and providing feedback to internal stakeholders.
