Production Operations Specialist (Broadcast Television)

Location: Full-time on-site work at an hirify.global-designated worksite in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States

What you will do

• Prepare and direct live and taped news television broadcasts.
• Code broadcast rundowns using iNews.
• Operate automated production control systems in coordination with editorial and production personnel.
• Provide direction and timing to on-air talent and broadcast technicians.
• Perform Director and Director Assist duties, including weekly disaster recovery training.
• Edit newscasts, news content, and promotional topicals as needed.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience directing live television news broadcasts.
• At least 3 years of experience with television production equipment, newsroom computer systems, and multiple broadcast applications and screens.
• At least 1 year of experience with Automated Production Control systems; ROSS OverDrive is preferred.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States is required.
• Must be willing to work full-time on-site in Salt Lake City, Utah.
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice to have

• Spanish language skills.
• Experience with Dalet Galaxy, ROSS Xpression, or ROSS Cambotics.
• Knowledge of video switchers and audio consoles.
• BA degree in Telecommunications or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong communication, prioritization, multitasking, and decision-making skills in a live broadcast environment.
