Master Control Operator (Broadcast)

Location: Onsite in Denver, Colorado, United States; available for rotating shifts from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., or 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Salary: $23.04 per hour.

What you will do

• Monitor and control the broadcast automation system to ensure accurate event execution.
• Prepare syndicated programming and run commercial breaks during newscasts, network programming, and sports broadcasts.
• Review automation logs, verify scheduled material, and investigate missing content with the appropriate sources.
• Maintain compliance with FCC requirements, including EAS, closed-captioning logs, and children’s television regulations.
• Monitor transmitters and tower lights and manage commercial media content.

Requirements

• At least two years of master control experience preferred; broadcast hub experience is desirable.
• Fluent English and the ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy.
• Experience with broadcast automation, IT-based equipment, server playback and recording systems, or computer operations.
• Ability to solve problems, multitask, meet deadlines, and work a flexible 24/7 schedule.
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
• Willingness to submit to a background check.

Nice to have

• Technical degree or related-field experience.
• Experience with Florical automation and satellite spot delivery systems.
