Hach Field Service Technician I (Water Quality)

Location: Home-based in Dallas, Texas or surrounding areas, supporting customer sites throughout the territory. Listed locations include Dallas, Houston, Corpus Christi, and Texarkana, Texas, and Jackson, Mississippi. Daily customer-site travel is required, with occasional regional travel and overnight stays.

Salary: $29.00–$31.00 USD per hour, plus incentive pay.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, routine repairs, calibration, and verification of hirify.global instrumentation.
• Serve as the on-site technical and service contact for municipal and industrial customers.
• Support equipment at drinking-water and wastewater facilities, power plants, refineries, chemical plants, and food and beverage facilities.
• Prepare accurate service reports supporting billing, inventory, instrument history, and failure tracking.
• Follow company safety practices and complete administrative activities related to service visits.
• Travel daily to customer sites; 65–75% of weekly travel may include overnight stays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of field service or customer-facing experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to rent vehicles and book hotels under applicable state law.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with preventive maintenance and technical diagnostics or repair.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work in municipal and industrial environments, including potential NEC Class I Division 2 hazardous locations.

• Associate degree or technical degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
