Network Engineer I

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; hybrid work with periodic in-office collaboration in Seattle

Annual base salary: $71,100–$106,700

What you will do

• Support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Monitor network traffic and performance metrics and identify optimization opportunities.
• Support configuration management, change control, and production network service deployments.
• Contribute to network automation initiatives using Ansible, Terraform, and Python.
• Respond to network incidents and service requests while maintaining documentation and topology diagrams.
• Collaborate with senior engineers through knowledge-sharing and problem-solving sessions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Foundational knowledge of networking technologies and protocols, including TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Familiarity with Ansible, Terraform, and/or Python scripting.
• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity, network administration, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Successful completion of the hirify.global Summer 2026 Internship Program and an invitation to apply for a return role are required.

Nice to have

• Interest in emerging AI technologies for network management.
• CompTIA Network+ or an equivalent certification.
• Experience with network monitoring and performance management tools.
• Familiarity with Linux or Unix environments.
