Electromechanical Engineer

What you will do

• Design, prototype, integrate, test, qualify, and manufacture rugged electromechanical systems.
• Design enclosures, mounts, assemblies, packaging, wiring, and mechanical integrations.
• Integrate sensors, electronics, power systems, connectors, antennas, and related components.
• Apply DFM/DFA principles to transition prototypes into repeatable production.
• Create and maintain CAD models, engineering drawings, tolerances, BOMs, wiring documentation, and manufacturing documentation.
• Partner with suppliers, fabrication shops, and contract manufacturers while troubleshooting, installing, and evaluating hardware in lab and field environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, or closely related engineering.
• Experience designing, building, and testing electromechanical products.
• Strong mechanical design fundamentals and proficiency with 3D CAD, engineering drawings, tolerancing, and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience integrating sensors, electronics, power, wiring, connectors, and other electrical components.
• Hands-on prototyping and fabrication experience, including DFM/DFA and troubleshooting across mechanical and electrical boundaries.
• Active security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Nice to have

• Experience with ruggedized, vehicle-mounted, tactical, industrial, aerospace, automotive, or robotics hardware.
• Experience with wire harnesses, grounding and bonding, power distribution, RF, communications hardware, or embedded electronics.
• Experience with MIL-STDs and standards such as SAE, ASME, ASTM, IPC, UL, NFPA, ISO, or IEC.
• Experience with environmental qualification, including vibration, shock, temperature, ingress, and EMI/EMC.
• Experience taking hardware from prototype through production and fielding.
