Electrical Project Engineer (RNG)

Location: Rancho Cucamonga, California; onsite in the office five days a week with up to 25% travel. Field work at active construction, industrial, and operational sites is required.

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 annually, with bonus eligibility for applicable positions.

What you will do

• Lead electrical engineering scope across EPC projects for CNG and RNG facilities, from conceptual design through commissioning.
• Develop and review power distribution, grounding, hazardous-area, control, instrumentation, and electrical equipment designs.
• Coordinate civil, mechanical, structural, process, supplier, subcontractor, and EPC partner inputs to produce constructible design packages.
• Support procurement through RFQs, technical bid evaluations, vendor selection, and submittal reviews.
• Provide construction, field engineering, commissioning, startup, RFI, and technical client support.
• Manage deliverables, schedules, budgets, cost estimates, quality reviews, constructability reviews, HAZOPs, and design improvements across multiple projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from an ABET-accredited university.
• 7+ years of industrial, energy, or gas-processing electrical engineering experience.
• Experience leading engineering or design teams, field personnel, and vendors.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and applicable industry codes, plus experience with industrial power distribution, controls, and instrumentation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and industrial electrical drafting, wiring diagrams, specifications, and equipment documentation.
• Current, valid driver’s license without restrictions; ability to perform office and field work, including work at heights, in confined spaces, and in industrial environments.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience in renewable energy, RNG, hydrogen, or oil and gas.
