Project Engineer I (Electrical Construction)

Location: Henderson, Colorado; onsite in a company-designated office or field location

Salary: $60,000–$100,000 per year, paid weekly and based on experience.

hirify.global subsidiary Sturgeon Electric provides large-scale electrical construction services, including transmission, commercial and industrial, telecommunications, traffic signalization, gas distribution, high-voltage distribution, and renewable energy projects.

What you will do

• Interpret construction drawings and specifications, update drawings, and maintain accurate as-built documentation.
• Support project managers with plans, specifications, contract checklists, statements of work, submittals, and reporting.
• Prepare RFIs, assist with subcontractor and vendor agreements, and track change requests and change orders.
• Assist with project scheduling, cost estimates, procurement of materials and equipment, and distribution of project information to field teams.
• Inspect equipment, materials, workmanship, and completed construction while monitoring compliance with specifications and safety requirements.
• Prepare closeout documentation, operation and maintenance manuals, and final as-built drawings.

Requirements

• 1–5 years of experience in commercial electrical construction operations or general construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Primavera at an intermediate or higher level.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational knowledge of Bluebeam.
• Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States for any employer; visa sponsorship is not available.
