Logistics Specialist (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Plan and administer provisioning, spares, maintenance, and repair activities for programs of moderate scope.
• Research contractual documents, technical data, customer usage, maintenance practices, and operational characteristics to determine logistics requirements.
• Develop logistics plans, lifecycle logistics strategies, and distribution approaches for aerospace systems and devices.
• Conduct distribution and network studies, monitor inventory, and develop strategies to achieve delivery targets.
• Analyze logistics databases and prepare reports, cost analyses, financial management materials, and production planning documents.
• Interface with government and contractor personnel while advising management and supporting program activities.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree or at least six years of experience across military-related acquisition and sustainment logistics.
• Program Depot Maintenance experience or understanding.
• Knowledge of depot and field maintenance, supportability concepts, PWSs, SOWs, DIDs, test procedures, obsolescence, DMSMS, risk management, and end-item delivery and installation.
• Experience using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to multitask, communicate clearly, solve problems, think critically, and work with logistics and government databases such as Blade, ILS-S, G081, FEDLOG, and IMDS.

Nice to have

• Expertise in USAF aircraft maintenance and maintenance processes or documentation.
• Experience developing lifecycle logistics strategies, service-life extensions, and test and evaluation activities.
• Program management experience with acquisition, ACAT III, or RDT&E programs.
• Certified APDP Level II or III in Life Cycle Logistics or an industry equivalent.
• Master’s degree, relevant DoD professional military education, Tinker AFB knowledge, or USAF System Program Office experience.
