Sr. Logistics Specialist (Aerospace)

Base pay: $52,300–$65,400 per year

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end logistics operations across multiple sites and suppliers, including transportation planning, scheduling, and execution for complex and time-critical shipments.
• Manage carrier and 3PL relationships, negotiate rates and contracts, and improve performance, compliance, and cost efficiency across LTL, FTL, parcel, and specialty transport.
• Act as the escalation point for material and tooling movement issues supporting production, testing, and R&D.
• Lead carrier onboarding, route optimization, network redesign, facility moves, and equipment transportation projects through implementation.
• Own logistics KPI reporting and analytics, identify trends, drive corrective actions, and present recommendations to leadership.
• Mentor Logistics Specialists and Coordinators while partnering with Warehousing, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Finance leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in transportation management, logistics operations, or supply chain execution, including complex or multi-site logistics.
• Experience independently managing carriers and 3PL relationships across multiple transportation modes, including rate and contract negotiation.
• Strong knowledge of domestic freight, including LTL, FTL, parcel, flatbed, specialty transport, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Experience leading logistics process-improvement or network projects from concept through implementation.
• Experience mentoring, training, or informally leading logistics personnel.
• Strong communication, planning, vendor management, data analysis, and leadership presentation skills, with the ability to work autonomously.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, automotive, or advanced manufacturing logistics.
• Familiarity with DOT/PHMSA hazardous materials transportation requirements.
• Experience administering ERP or TMS systems for logistics execution and reporting.
• Experience managing facility moves, equipment relocations, special builds, logistics budgets, or cost centers.
