P&C Business Partner (Human Resources)

Location: Richmond, Utah 84333, United States; onsite work in the Pepperidge Farm bakery and plant floor

Salary: $67,700–$93,100 per year base salary

What you will do

• Manage employee relations cases, conduct investigations, interpret policies, and guide fair and consistent disciplinary actions.
• Recruit hourly employees, manage job postings and job bids, coordinate pre-employment checks and testing, process I-9 verifications, and support plant staffing levels.
• Administer leave, benefits, workers' compensation, occupational injury claims, and employment-related compliance processes.
• Lead hourly performance management, compensation reviews, local wage surveys, and annual wage recommendations.
• Deliver HR training, coordinate engagement and recognition activities, conduct exit interviews, and support diversity initiatives.
• Act as a change agent supporting Lean Manufacturing, High Performance Organization implementation, and continuous improvement across the plant.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5–7 years of relevant experience, or approximately 10 years of Human Resources Generalist experience in manufacturing.
• Experience handling complex employee relations matters, employment law, FMLA, ADA, benefits, payroll, and workers' compensation.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, written and verbal communication, presentation, organization, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn HR systems; SAP access administration is required.
• Ability to work in both office and plant-floor settings with exposure to industrial noise, forklift traffic, moving mechanical parts, and temperature extremes.
• Ability to respond to employee relations issues on a 24/7 basis and work onsite in Richmond, Utah.

Nice to have

• Experience in food manufacturing or the consumer products industry.
• Prior experience with PeopleSoft, Kronos, or SAP.
