Planner

Location: East Farmingdale, New York, United States; onsite

Hourly rate: $27.93–$35.50

Target Rock team supporting the planning and production of detail and sub-assembly parts in a machine shop environment.

What you will do

• Use project sales orders, engineering releases, drawings, and procedures to determine contractual requirements.
• Develop action plans and coordinate materials, work activities, and shipments to support production and shipping schedules.
• Generate and maintain material logs, work orders, shop packages, pick lists, material verification, and serial number assignments.
• Select and order raw materials and initiate requisitions for materials, parts, and services.
• Track contractual changes, shortages, bottlenecks, inventory, and work-in-progress to maintain production flow.
• Perform project control activities, preliminary inventory reviews, and project closeout tasks.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen.
• Minimum experience in production planning and/or inventory control, including experience in a computer-oriented environment.
• Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and bills of materials.
• Prior experience in a machine shop environment.
• Working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High school diploma; college degree preferred.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with Oracle ERP.
• Familiarity with MRP.
