Supply Chain Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Full-time onsite in El Segundo, California, United States. Ability to travel 25–50% of the time is required.

Salary: $109,148–$139,466 for Eng 1; $119,543–$152,749 for Eng 2; $140,333–$179,314 for Senior. Additional incentives may include stock options and/or long-term cash awards.

What you will do

• Create and own supplier quality frameworks and requirements for aerospace suppliers.
• Evaluate supplier manufacturing capabilities, conduct audits, and assess quality-control processes.
• Support new product introduction and R&D projects with Design for Manufacturability input and supplier selection.
• Define specifications, inspection methods, and acceptance criteria with engineering and operations teams.
• Investigate supplier quality issues using root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Drive supplier continuous improvement through design reviews, risk assessments, and qualification activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field such as mechanical, aerospace, or electrical engineering.
• 3–6+ years of supplier quality engineering experience, preferably in aerospace, automotive, or high-performance engineering.
• Experience with either fluid-system hardware, including pressurized components, tubing, fittings, seals, valves, and instrumentation, or machined parts, sheet metal, mechanisms, and structural hardware.
• Knowledge of FMEA, DMAIC, 8D, engineering models, and technical drawings.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Must be a U.S. person authorized to work in the United States and access export-controlled technology.

Nice to have

• Expertise in propulsion systems, PCB/PCBA manufacturing, or mechanical machining.
• Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, and other relevant quality standards.
• Familiarity with space-system components, materials, and associated quality requirements.
• Thorough understanding of GD&T according to ANSI Y14.5-2009 or 2018.
