What you will do

  • Lead a small team of mechanical analysts, organize priorities, conduct regular one-on-ones, and develop technical capabilities.
  • Provide expertise in mechanical stress, part life estimation, rotor dynamics, vibration analysis, and turbomachinery component evaluation.
  • Plan, estimate, and track subsystem work, milestones, schedules, and technical roadblocks in coordination with systems and program management.
  • Develop analysis methods and standards, oversee technical documentation, and ensure consistent engineering results.
  • Review engine and component test programs, objectives, limits, instrumentation, data requirements, and validation plans.
  • Support cross-functional design reviews and research additive design technologies that improve product performance and durability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • 15+ years of experience in gas turbine component design.
  • Experience with stress and finite element analysis, including static, dynamic vibration, shock, plasticity, interference, thermal, contact, and fatigue analysis.
  • Experience with ANSYS Workbench, CAD, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and design for additive manufacturing.
  • Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, program execution, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance are required.
