Network Engineer (Azure)

What you will do

• Operate, administer, secure, and document federal government network infrastructure across customer cloud environments and external connections.
• Design, implement, and manage LAN, WAN, and Azure cloud network architectures.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues, identify root causes, and optimize performance, reliability, availability, and scalability.
• Implement and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, access controls, VPNs, security policies, and related network security technologies.
• Plan and execute network upgrades, expansions, migrations, and infrastructure changes while minimizing operational impact.
• Administer Palo Alto Networks firewall infrastructure, routing protocols, and NetApp storage infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, cloud networking, routing, network architecture, topology design, installation, transition, and cutover of network components.
• Deep understanding of networking protocols and network security principles.
• Experience applying network architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, written, verbal, and collaborative communication skills.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate or an equivalent certification.
• Experience supporting federal contracts.
• Experience with a wide variety of network technologies and solution architectures.
