Senior Vice President, Network Engineering

Location: Los Angeles, California, or Chicago, Illinois, United States

Base salary: $200,000–$225,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus incentives and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the Network Engineering function and own the architecture, strategy, resilience, and multi-year roadmap for global internal and external networks.
• Set enterprise standards for Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, and Arista platforms across offices and cloud environments.
• Act as the final escalation point for complex network incidents and direct root-cause analysis and long-term remediation.
• Partner with Security leadership on network security architecture, segmentation, and Zero Trust/SASE strategy.
• Manage network budgets, capacity planning, asset lifecycles, vendor relationships, carrier contracts, and MSP operations.
• Build, lead, and mentor a global team of network engineers and administrators while establishing governance for documentation, changes, and configurations.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of information technology experience, including 8+ years in progressive network engineering and architecture and at least 3 years managing a network engineering team.
• Expertise in global LAN, WAN, enterprise networking, routing, switching, wireless strategy, and Palo Alto next-generation firewalls.
• Experience architecting hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity at enterprise scale, including Microsoft Azure VNets and ExpressRoute.
• Experience managing multi-year technology budgets and negotiating enterprise vendor and carrier contracts.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Excellent communication, executive presentation, problem-solving, organizational, and people-leadership skills, with the ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Nice to have

• Advanced certifications such as Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Arista ACE, Palo Alto PCNSE, or Azure architecture-level credentials.
• Experience with Telecom Expense Management services and managed service provider relationships.
• Experience with Meraki or comparable cloud-managed wireless solutions.
