Cloud Network Engineer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design and operate cloud networking architectures covering VPC/VNet, subnets, routing, security groups, and transit hub topologies.
• Implement hybrid and private connectivity using Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, Cloud Interconnect, VPN, PrivateLink, Private Endpoints, and Private Service Connect.
• Architect edge networking with CDNs, global load balancing, DNS, WAF integration, and hybrid name resolution.
• Automate cloud networking with Terraform and build observability through flow logs, traffic insights, and packet capture.
• Operate Kubernetes networking, troubleshoot complex cloud and hybrid issues, and optimize network costs.
• Partner with security teams on firewalls, DDoS protection, network segmentation, and zero-trust principles while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States; the position is 100% remote within the U.S.
• New H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored. U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, and H-1B transfer candidates may apply.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
• Five or more years of networking experience, including significant cloud networking experience; the posting specifies 10+ years of overall experience.
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider, hybrid connectivity, Terraform, cloud security controls, Kubernetes networking, routing, switching, BGP, and packet-level troubleshooting.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Cloud networking specialty certifications such as AWS Advanced Networking or Azure Network Engineer.
• Multi-cloud and cloud-to-cloud networking experience.
• Experience with SD-WAN, SASE, eBPF-based networking tools, or regulated-industry network segmentation.
