Network Engineer - Cloud

Location: Bethesda, Maryland, United States; Washington, DC. U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility are required.

What you will do

• Configure and maintain hybrid and multi-cloud networking across Azure and AWS, including virtual networks, gateways, dedicated circuits, DNS, IPAM, load balancing, and private connectivity.
• Manage firewall and network security policies across Azure Firewall, Palo Alto, and Cisco platforms, including log analysis and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Design and optimize routing, traffic engineering, BGP, route tables, and secure high-throughput connections between on-premises and cloud environments.
• Deploy and maintain Private Link and Private Endpoint configurations for PaaS services.
• Monitor network health, performance, and security posture while developing infrastructure-as-code for repeatable configuration changes.
• Document network configurations, resolve incidents within SLAs, coordinate with carriers and colocation providers, and support new workloads and migrations.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and U.S. citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of network engineering experience, including 5+ years configuring, administering, and troubleshooting cloud networking environments.
• Security+ certification.
• Hands-on experience with Azure and AWS networking, hybrid connectivity, TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, BGP, and VPN protocols.
• Experience with enterprise firewalls, infrastructure-as-code, network security best practices, scripting, and regulated or federal environments.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate or Azure Administrator Associate certification.
• AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty.
• Experience with multi-region architectures, carrier cloud-connect, colocation solutions, TIC 3.0, and PEP concepts.
