Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA; onsite

What you will do

• Design, implement, and document shop-floor manufacturing processes in line with engineering, health and safety, environmental, quality, regulatory, and internal requirements.
• Develop specialist jigs and fixtures for production build and testing activities.
• Provide technical support for process instructions, documentation control, equipment, and current products.
• Investigate manufacturing and quality problems and support resolution activities.
• Assist with maintenance improvements and evaluate new processes and equipment, including cost estimates for proposals and projects.
• Participate in audits of company activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, or an equivalent qualification.
• Alternatively, an associate degree with 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, or at least 5 years of manufacturing experience in an assembly or machine shop environment.
• Experience in an assembly environment.
• Good basic electromechanical engineering skills and strong computer skills, including Excel, Access, and Word.
• Ability to learn or experience with LabVIEW.

Nice to have

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
• Awareness of health and safety practices.
