Senior Director, UX Strategy (AI)

Salary: $150,000–$190,000 USD per year, plus bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Lead and mentor multiple software engineering teams supporting Advisor Solutions Products.
• Define the technology vision, engineering strategy, architecture roadmap, and operating model.
• Design scalable APIs, integrations, data platforms, cloud services, and user-facing experiences.
• Drive delivery across discovery, architecture, development, testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement.
• Establish engineering standards for microservices, event-driven architecture, API-first development, security, observability, and automated testing.
• Evaluate and implement generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation, AI coding assistants, and agentic AI with appropriate governance and human oversight.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including leadership of multiple technical teams and complex technology initiatives.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Python, Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Experience with Angular or React, JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS, responsive design, and accessible interfaces.
• Expertise in distributed systems, microservices, REST APIs, OAuth2, JWT, cloud-native architecture, AWS, Kubernetes, databases, messaging, DevOps, and CI/CD.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted development, large language model integration, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic AI.

Nice to have

• Experience with legacy modernization, cloud migration, API enablement, and platform engineering.
• Background in financial services, transaction processing, billing, payments, subscription platforms, or marketing technology.
• Experience with Wagtail or comparable content-management frameworks.
• Experience leading distributed internal and external delivery teams.
