Stationary Maintenance Repair Technician II (HVAC)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; onsite at IAH Airport. Work includes airport ramp and baggage-conveyor areas, with day or night 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays.

What you will do

• Maintain, diagnose, and repair HVAC, refrigeration, ice plant, boiler, and other critical equipment.
• Replace components, adjust system controls, and use specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to improve performance.
• Complete work orders, preventive-maintenance tasks, CMMS entries, logs, and required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Verify that work is performed safely, correctly, environmentally compliantly, and according to local, state, and federal requirements.
• Communicate with customers, coworkers, management, and work-order coordinators; complete projects and assigned special work.
• Train and mentor other technicians while maintaining productivity in a diverse, multicultural environment.

Requirements

• EPA Universal License and Second-Grade Stationary Engineer License required.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics, with strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and accurate CMMS documentation.
• Ability to obtain an airport badge and work in secure airport areas.
• Ability to work 12-hour day or night shifts, including weekends and holidays; the schedule is 3.5 days on and 3.5 days off.
