Airport Services Maintenance Repair Technician 1 (PLC)

Location: Orlando International Airport, Orlando, Florida, United States. Onsite work on airport ramps and in confined baggage-conveyor areas; 1st or 2nd shift work, including weekends and holidays, is required.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on PLC-controlled baggage conveyors and related equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Respond to maintenance calls and support airport operations by clearing bag jams.
• Operate golf carts, company vehicles, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Record maintenance information accurately in the computerized maintenance management system.
• Follow company safety programs and complete required training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and at least 1 year of maintenance operations experience.
• Industrial electrical experience with 3-phase motors and 480V systems.
• Mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Intermediate understanding of PLC control systems; ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Ability to obtain an airport security badge and work 1st or 2nd shift, including weekends and holidays.

• Familiarity with airport operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
