What you will do

• Perform molecular genetic testing on clinical specimens following standard operating procedures.
• Execute and document laboratory quality control and quality assurance activities.
• Prepare reagents and maintain laboratory equipment for testing.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues affecting test performance and document corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laboratory regulations.
• Collaborate with laboratory and management staff to support diagnostic operations.

Requirements

• Active California Department of Public Health CLS or CGMBS license required.
• Experience in high complexity clinical laboratory testing, preferably in molecular diagnostics.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work a 2nd shift schedule (Tuesday - Saturday, 12:30pm - 9:00pm).
• Proficiency in computer systems and laboratory technology.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform repetitive laboratory tasks.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with PCR, Microarray, or NGS sequencing.
