Circuit Engineer II (Telecommunications)

Salary: $77,622–$128,852 per year

What you will do

• Own circuit engineering for major projects or less complex projects from initial concept through completed design.
• Design circuits and produce accurate circuit layout records.
• Coordinate multiple orders and service requests, including access service requests and engineering service requests.
• Review circuit requirements, assign facilities, verify equipment availability, and submit purchase orders.
• Analyze and test circuits using specialized equipment.
• Collaborate with project managers, coordinators, network design teams, and other engineering departments to meet delivery dates.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, telecommunications, or a related field.
• At least four years of experience in telecommunications, circuit service delivery, facility assignments, circuit design, or a related field.
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, IP telephony, MPLS, multiplexing, compression, echo cancellation, and transmission facilities including fiber optic, microwave, radio, satellite, and copper.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations, conceptualize circuit and network layouts, analyze systems, monitor operations, and solve complex problems.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and reliable transportation for occasional travel between offices, worksites, or other locations.
