What you will do

• Teach mathematics topics including Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus using the school curriculum.
• Prepare students for Advanced Placement and collegiate-level coursework.
• Use instructional strategies that develop problem-solving, critical thinking, mathematical reasoning, and student confidence.
• Analyze student work samples and assessments with principals and instructional coaches.
• Differentiate instruction and collaborate with math, grade-level, and school-wide teams.
• Build relationships with students and families and participate in professional development, mentoring, and coaching.

Requirements

• Academic expertise in Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated commitment to students’ social-emotional and academic development.
• Interest in impacting K–12 students in urban schools and communities; 1–2 years of experience is preferred.
• Self-directed approach and willingness to seek and implement feedback.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 before employment begins.
• Must hold an appropriate Massachusetts educator’s license or pass the required MTEL examinations, including Communications and Literacy, Subject Specific, and SEI requirements within the specified period.
