TL;DR
Cost Accounting Specialist (Manufacturing Finance): Managing product costing, inventory valuation, standard costs, and manufacturing financial analysis in an onsite climate technology operation with an accent on ERP costing processes, cost governance, and inventory controls. Focus on analyzing labor, material, overhead, and manufacturing variances, supporting new product costing, and improving reporting and financial controls.
Location: Fully onsite in Chihuahua, Mexico; not eligible for hybrid or remote work.

What you will do
- Own manufacturing cost accounting processes, costing methodologies, standard cost rolls, and cost governance.
- Maintain labor, material, burden, overhead, and costing configurations in ERP/MRP systems.
- Analyze manufacturing variances, inventory valuation, reserves, excess and obsolete inventory, and cost risks.
- Lead inventory reconciliation, physical inventory activities, cycle-count governance, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Support new product introduction through cost modeling, bill-of-material validation, and profitability analysis.
- Develop and improve costing reports, dashboards, controls, audit documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 6–8 years of progressive cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, manufacturing finance, and US and Mexican GAAP.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems; Oracle experience is strongly preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with Power BI, Domo, or similar business intelligence tools.
- Fluent English communication skills, a valid passport, and a U.S. visa are required; travel may be required.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree or CPA, CMA, or MBA certification.
- ERP implementation, multi-site manufacturing, automated reporting, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, external audit, or SOX compliance experience.
