Concrete Field Superintendent

Location: Central Michigan or West Michigan, United States; daily presence required at assigned project sites

What you will do

• Interpret construction documents and drawings, recommend construction methods and equipment, and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
• Set and enforce project expectations for safety, quality, housekeeping, conduct, and unforeseen conditions.
• Coordinate site logistics, including traffic patterns, equipment locations, storage, and staging.
• Partner with the project manager, client, and trade contractors to develop work plans and prepare for upcoming activities.
• Plan trade contractor sequencing, phasing, pace, and coordination to meet project schedule milestones.
• Lead safety discussions, inspections, training, incident reporting, quality meetings, and pre-installation coordination.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least five years of experience in construction or a related field.
• Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience are accepted.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Procore, BIM, and Microsoft Project.
• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug and background screening is required.

Nice to have

• Trade-related training or experience as a carpenter, finisher, or operator.
• OSHA 30-hour certification.
