Consultant, US ORM QA (AI)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; hybrid arrangement with 3 days per week on-site and remaining days remote

What you will do

• Conduct quality assurance testing across US Operational Risk Management programs, including RCSA, CIRA, and incident reporting.
• Monitor first-line-of-defense control populations and testing results, identify control gaps, and recommend enhancements.
• Lead targeted risk reviews, analyze root causes and control weaknesses, and document observations and findings.
• Develop and enhance testing procedures, intake forms, and supporting guidelines for the US ORM Testing Team.
• Apply AI, data analytics, scripts, and automated testing tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Prepare workpapers, management reporting, executive-level reporting, and presentations on testing results and emerging themes.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in risk management, compliance, internal audit, or quality assurance, ideally in financial services.
• Advanced ability to develop and analyze reports, dashboards, and metrics related to control effectiveness and risk management.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Experience with compliance technology, data analytics, or automation tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and hold a valid work or study permit where applicable.

• Professional certification such as CRISC or CISA.
